Nancy A. Chevrette, 63, of West Hartford, CT passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital with her loved ones by her side. Born in Manchester, NH April 21, 1952, she was the first born daugher of Lucille (Moquin) and Alfred J. Chevrette of Manchester, CT. She graduated from MHS class of 1970 and attended Cosmetology School becoming a hairdresser which she enjoyed for many years. Most recently, she worked as a home health aide, caring for and befriending many in need. Nancy was a loving and giving person who did her best to give back to the community through volunteer work at area hospitals and her church. Nancy loved many forms of exercise, one of which was running in earlier years. She was a member of the Hartford Track Club for several years and loved the thrill of completing road races. She was happy with the simple pleasures in life. She loved music, dancing, and was a proud baker, always presenting desserts at our family gatherings. In addition, Nancy enjoyed riding with David on his motorcycle in good weather. Besides her parents, she is survived by her loving daughter and the light of her life, Lisa Jane Cugno of Middletown; her soulmate David of West Hartford; her sisters Kate and Andre Dumas of East Hartford; Jane Bedell and Steve Miller of Avon; Joanna Chevrette of Glastonbury; her brothers David and Sandy Chevrette of Andover and Tony Chevrette and Monica Botticello of Manchester. She also leaves nieces and nephews, Amy, Jessie, Josh, Brianna, Michael, Maura, Alyssa and Anthony. Nancy was predeceased by her niece Lauren Bedell. Calling hours will be Friday September 25 from 6-8p.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 26 at the Church of the Assumption, 29 Adams St. South, Manchester at 11:00a.m. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery.
