Obituary of Patricia A. Appicelli

Patricia A. Appicelli, 79, of East Hartford, entered eternal rest Tuesday (September 1, 2015) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford, She was the daughter of the late Paul P. and Ann Appicelli. She had worked in sales at both Loring Studios and Olan Mills, and during her tenure she won many awards for excellence. A true animal lover, she was the co-owner of three Wild Cargo Pet Shops and also a co-owner of Manchester Auction Gallery. Patricia was also an active communicant of St. Isaac-Jogues Church. She was proud of her Italian heritage, loved the "Big Apple" and enjoyed her times at Misquamicut Beach. To Patricia family was everything and is survived by her children Paul S. Appicelli of East Hartford and Laura A. Shriel and her husband Tim of East Hartford; her grandson Brandon Appicelli "the apple of her eye," and his mother Ramona; her extended family Carla Mouller, John Meyer, Cathy Tutko and family, Kim Arcari, Yolanda Velez, her lifelong friend Geraldine Walsh and Timothy and Bonnie Shriel Sr.; and beloved dogs Paris, Gidget and Charo. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her soulmate John McGauley, and her dog Annie. Pat's family would like to offer a special note of thanks to Rev. Rob Roy, Bruce Ingraham, Dr. Rizvi, Dr. Oligino, Dr. Laut, Dr. Duncan and Dr. Riddle and her family members and friends for the care, compassion and support over the last few years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (September 12th) at 10:00 a.m. at St. Isaac-Jogues Church 1 Community Street East Hartford, CT followed by burial in Mt.
