Obituary of Margaret McCarthy

Margaret McCarthy of Manchester passed away on August 29, 2015. She was born in Pennsylvania in 1918 to Martin and Katherine Dziak. She was the fourth child in a family of twelve children and she was the last surviving sibling. She previously resided in Toms River, New Jersey and Bronx, New York. Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband Daniel McCarthy. She is survived by her loving children Maureen Andryuk of Windsor, Connecticut (formerly of Glastonbury, Connecticut) and Daniel M. McCarthy of Shenandoah, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, David McCarthy, Marc Andryuk, Craig McCarthy, Jason Andryuk, Lauren Rottner, Brian McCarthy, Kevin McCarthy and Michael Andryuk and five great-grandchildren, Keira and Cailyn McCarthy, Emmy Andryuk, Cirdan Andryuk and Sophie Rottner. Margaret was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was known for her cooking, baking and sewing skills. She was always ready to help her family and friends. She loved the Yankees and playing cards. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 4th, at 12:00 p.m. at The Church of the Assumption, 29 Adams St. South, Manchester. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester Friday morning from 9:00-11:30 a.m. A private burial will be held at William C. Doyle Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to your favorite charity in Margaret's name.
