Obituary of Louis A. Boggio

Louis A. Boggio, 77, of Manchester, husband of Claudia J. (Garner) Boggio, died Wednesday July 22, 2015 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Louis and Dora (Grandandi) Boggio. Louis was a veteran of the Air Force, serving in the 94th Military Airlift Wing. Louis made his career in the IT department at The Hartford. He was an avid golfer with The Hartford League. He was a UConn Huskies fan, being a season ticket holder for the men's and women's basketball team and the football team. In his retirement, he was a member of "The Romeos," a group of Retired Old Men Eating Out together once a month. Besides his wife Claudia, Louis is survived by his sons Michael Boggio and his wife Kelly of Plymouth, CT and Jeffrey Boggio of Hartford, CT and his grandchildren Nicholas and Anthony Boggio. He was predeceased by his sister Marjorie Boggio. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 28th, at 11:00 a.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St, Manchester followed by burial in Hillstown Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
