Michael Patrick Greene, 59, of Manchester, CT, beloved husband of Charlotte Boland Greene, passed away suddenly Saturday, July 18, 2015 of a heart attack. Michael was born August 15, 1955 in Hartford, CT. He grew up in South Windsor, CT and graduated East Catholic High School class of 1974 and received his business degree from Northwestern Community College in Winsted, CT, then went on to Trinity College. He worked at Strano's Bakery and Automatic Data Processing before fulfilling his lifelong dream of being a business owner when he founded Greene Facility Services/Greene Moving and Storage in 1988. Mike was loved by employees and clients alike and he saw the best in people. Mike's calming presence was one of his greatest strengths and people always felt comfortable talking to him. Mike's greatest enjoyment came from being a loving husband and father to his wife and children who loved him dearly. His family was the light of his life and he always put them before his own needs. He will be greatly missed by them. Michael was a former coach for the Manchester Midget Football League and was well loved by his players, many of whom would see him around and still call him "Coach." He was a past President of the Exchange Club in Manchester. Michael served on the Building and Grounds Committee of East Catholic High School. Some of Michael's fondest times were those spent with his family at their cottage on Red Cedar Lake, in Lebanon, CT or traveling to Ireland. Michael was predeceased by his parents William and Alyce Greene, his father-in-law Francis Boland, his niece Shannon Beebe and great- niece Colleen Beebe. Michael is survived by his wife Charlotte Boland Greene, son Patrick Greene and his fiancé Jenna Olander, and his daughter Marikate Greene. He is also survived by his sister Tracey Greene and his brother William Greene and sister-in-law Val Greene, his mother-in-law Charlotte Manning, his brother-in-law Edward Boland, sister-in-law Mary Beebe and brother-in-law Mark Beebe, brother-in-law Daniel Boland and sister-in-law Karen Boland, brother-in-law Kenneth Boland and sister-in-law Kristy Boland, sister-in-law Ellen Boland, and sister-in-law Mary Cohen. Also several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Church, 45 Ludlow Road Manchester.
