Joyce Dupont Krol, loving wife for 51 years of Richard Krol, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30th, at her home in South Windsor, surrounded by her loving family. Joyce was the seventh child of the late George and Irene Dupont. She was raised in Manchester. Upon completion of high school, Joyce wed her high school sweet heart, Richard and raised two children whom she loved with all her heart. Joyce was a dedicated homemaker until her children reached school age. She enjoyed a successful career in lighting, retiring from Connecticut Lighting Center to help raise her beloved grandchildren. Family was important to Joyce, and she enjoyed making those around her happy. She was happiest spending time with her grandchildren, and traveling with her husband. She was famous for her homemade sauce and delicious lasagna, which was served at every family gathering. She had a unique way of making everyone around her feel special. Joyce appreciated nature, and enjoyed gardening and watching the wildlife that flourished around her home. Joyce had a beautiful smile, and lived life to the fullest everyday she was on this earth. She gave to others, and expected nothing in return. In addition to her husband, Joyce is survived by her son Richard Krol, her daughter and her husband, Annette & Daniel Davies, grandchildren Veronica, Peter, Michael & Sam Davies, her siblings, Gloria Parlato, Georgetta Campbell, Rudolph Dupont, Norma Martin, Gilbert Dupont, Beverly Dupont-Sunderland, Kenneth Dupont, Lynn Dupont and Denise Mozzer, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Phyllis Eickner and Claire Dupont, and brother Ronald Dupont. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday (April 3rd) at 8:45 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at St. Bridget Church 80 Main St. Manchester followed by burial in East Cemetery.
