Cecelia (Plona) Fasciglione, 94, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. She was born March 25, 1921 in Gardner, MA, the daughter of Alexander and Alexandra (Wiski) Plona. Cecelia lived in Hartford for many years and was employed at the Travelers Insurance Company. Cecelia graduated from Gardner High School and lived in East Hartford for over 50 years. She enjoyed gardening, travel, bingo, playing cards and listening to music. Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers John, Francis, and Joseph, and 12 sisters, Sophie, Mae, Josephine, Nancy, Sister Laetitia, Sister Febronia, Alice, Rena, Ronnie, Betty, Viola, and Dorothy. Cecelia is survived by her 3 children, Pamela Fasciglione of East Hartford, Michael Fasciglione and Patricia of East Hartford, Robert Fasciglione and Patty also of East Hartford. She is also survived by 2 granddaughters, Heather and Kristen Fasciglione and numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass for Cecelia will be held on Friday June 5, 2015 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Peace Church, May Road, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Rocky Hill, CT. A calling hour will be held on Friday, June 5th from 9:00-10:00AM at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester, CT.
