Obituary of John DiCiccio
John DiCioccio, Sr., 88, of Spring Hill, FL, formerly of Manchester, the husband of the late Shirley G. DiCioccio died Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL. Born in Hartford, he had lived in Manchester for many years and was a US Army veteran of World War II. John had retired from CT Transit after many years of service. He is survived by his children John DiCioccio, Jr and his wife Ann of South Yarmouth, MA, Susan M. DiCioccio and her husband Gary V. Smith of Rocky Hill, and Steven M. DiCioccio of Manchester; his friend and companion Evelyn Kersten of Brooksville, FL; his grandchildren Karen L. Gorman and husband Bryan, Amy N. DiCioccio, Sarah M. DiCioccio, Christina DiCioccio-Buchholz and her husband William, and Veronica M. DiCioccio; and his great-grandson Tyler Gorman. He is also survived by his siblings, Helen Maurina of California, Yolanda DiCioccio of Windsor, Theresa Sargent of California, Sylvio DiCioccio of Middletown, William DiCioccio of Newington, Robert P. DiCioccio of Broad Brook and Florence Radigan of West Hartford; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his wife he was predeceased by his siblings David DiCioccio, Daniel DiCioccio, Rose Brown, Antoinette Aronne, and Rita DiCioccio. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (April 25th) at 11:30 a.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by burial in East Cemetery.
