Winfred B. "Pete" Garner, 83, of Manchester, the husband of the late Beverley J. (Fuller) Garner died Wednesday (March 14, 2012) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Pete was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War and had retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft after 36 years of service. He is survived by his children Sandra Stratton and her husband John of Vernon, James B. Garner and his wife Karen of Newport News, VA, and Diane M. Garner and John M. Laraia of East Hartford; his grandchildren Vanessa and Gage Stratton, and Francis and Bradley Garner; and a very special friend Donna Lanning. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday (March 20th) at 5:30 pm at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester.
