Retired Manchester Police Officer David K. Lannan, 56, of Ellington, the husband of Edith Black died Friday, March 27, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. Always a father first, he is survived by his beloved children, Jessica Lannan of Vernon, Sarah Landini and her husband Daniel of West Hartford, Dustin Lannan of Ellington, and Nicole Geick of Ellington; his grandchildren Connor and Madison Baker, and Jackson and Adelaide Landini; and his puppy brother Baxter. He is also survived by his mother, Roxann Lannan and two sisters, Colleen Lannan Walter and Marybeth Lannan. Dave retired from the Manchester Police Department after many years of service. A wonderful gardener, Dave truly had a green thumb. He also had a great love of metal detecting, motorcycling, boating, and the beach. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday (April 1st) at 7:00 p.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester.
