Obituary of Gregory Morse

Gregory Morse passed away on Feb. 15, 2015. He was the son of Roscoe and Marjorie Morse of Massachusetts. Gregory was a Vietnam veteran in the army from January of 1968 to January of 1969. He earned two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. After his service, he spent some time in California. He then returned to East Hartford, CT where his mother resided with her second husband Charles Johnson. He worked for a while at Pratt and Whitney and several other machine shops, ending up at Paradigm Precision where he worked up until his death. He loved to ride his motor cycle, play cards at the casino, play horse shoes, softball and "debating" very loudly with his friends, co-workers, and family members, especially Kevin Johnson, his step-brother. He also loved the way his sister-in-law Dona Dumore could get the better of him! He was loved and will be missed. Greg was also a big brother for a time. When Greg purchased a car for Deborah, the salesman was one of the boys he was a big brother to. He told Deborah Greg would come every Sunday, get him and his brothers and all the kids in the neighborhood and spend the day playing football or baseball-a memory forever. He leaves behind his wife Deborah of Manchester, his mother-in-law Vivian Price of Manchester, sister-in-law Dona Dumore and her son Emerson of Tolland, best friends Carl and Sondra Pavlick of Stamford, his stepbrother Kevin and wife Betty Johnson of Burlington MA, niece Karen and husband Larington and Kina Conyers of Staten Island, NY, stepbrother Charles and wife Jill Johnson of Dallas Texas and children, stepsister Diane and husband John Greene of Hampton, GA and children Kimberly and John, best friends Chris Haddock and Ed Chisholm both of Manchester and Carl. He is predeceased by his father Roscoe Morse, mother and stepfather Marjorie and Charles Johnson and his Vietnam friend Joel P. Lynch and all his work friends at Paradigm. For all those who knew him well, Gregory Morse-The Man-The Mouth-The Legend. A memorial service will be held on April 11, 2015 at 12:00 at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 10-12. If he had lived he would have been 68 on the 11th. We miss you.
