Obituary of John Hudak
John J. Hudak, Jr., 85, of East Hartford, beloved husband of Anita (Hussey) Hudak died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late John and Mary Hudak, and had lived in East Hartford for many years. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from Allied Printing as an electrician after many years of service. He enjoyed doing woodcrafts, spending summers at the beach house in Old Lyme and in his retirement spending winters in Florida. He is survived by his children, Kathleen Bittner and her husband Thomas of Vernon, Mark Hudak and his wife Joan of East Hartford, James Hudak and his wife Linda of Bristol, Christine DelRosso and her husband Hugo of South Windsor, and John Hudak of Amston; his grandchildren, Kevin and Paul Bittner, Michael and Joseph Hudak, Sarah and Nicole Hudak, Hugo and Victoria DelRosso, and Joshua Hudak; and his great-grandchildren Riley and Payton; his sister Eleanor Melcher of Branford; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his twin brother George and sister Mary Hudak. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday (March 3rd) at 9:15 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Christopher Church 538 Brewer St. East Hartford, CT followed by burial with military honors in Silver Lane Cemetery.
