Carolyn P. Hogan, 67, the beloved wife and lifelong partner of Kevin P. Hogan for 47 years, passed away Friday, January 23, at Hartford Hospital following a brief illness. The daughter of Ronzo and Blanche (Goulet) Perfido, Carolyn was raised in West Hartford, graduating in the first class from Northwest Catholic High School in 1965. She attended Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York and graduated cum laude from Central Connecticut State University before settling in Manchester. A profound lover of children, she was dedicated to the staff and students at Bowers Elementary School as a paraprofessional for over 20 years. Carolyn found her true joy in the happiness of her family, friends and rescued pets, most recently her adored terrier, Nicky. An animal in need was not a stray for long after crossing her path. Carolyn also enjoyed time spent cooking and baking, hosting memorable holiday dinners or baking a delicious pie for dessert. An avid gardener, she loved cultivating her flowers and sharing their beauty with others. Besides her husband, Carolyn is survived by her cherished daughter Mara Hogan Faulx and her husband Aaron of Riverdale Park, MD, her brother Leonard Perfido and his wife Ruth of New York, New York, her sisters and brothers in-law and several dear nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Amy Elizabeth Hogan and her brother Edward Perfido. Family and friends may call from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 31st at John F.
