Marie (Vozzolo) Sprague, 91, of Summerfield, Florida, formerly of Manchester, Connecticut and Holland, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8. She was born April 23, 1923 to Lester and Alice (Morency) Vozzolo. She served in the U.S. Navy and was a long-time and dedicated employee at Pratt & Whitney for her entire career. She was predeceased by her dear husband, Clifton, her son, Clifton, Jr. and her brother, Lester Vozzolo, Jr. She leaves behind a granddaughter, Stephanie Sobkowiak and her husband Corey, and two great-grandchildren, Sophie Maria and Dylan Maddox, who were the light of her life and kept her young! She also leaves behind a dear friend, Terri Poteet, who was like family to her. Finally, she leaves behind a sister-in law, Beverly Vozzolo, many nieces and nephews and wonderful friends that she made during her time in Summerfield - Jack Simonds and Linda, John Dudley, Louise Watkins, and Sam and Fred Stella. To those fortunate enough to have known her, she was a feisty, opinionated, and incredibly generous lady who learned e-mail in her late 80s and loved fine food (so long as she didn't have to cook it!). Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 14th at 10:30 a.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester, CT followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford.
