Obituary of Claudio Scarpone

Claudio U. "Clyde" Scarpone, 92, of Manchester, the husband of the late Maria G. (Perrotti) Scarpone died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Roccacasale, Italy, he was the son of the late Michael and Maria Scarpone and had lived in Manchester since 1968. He was a US Army Airborne Rangers veteran of the 100th Division 5th Army in World War II. Clyde retired from First National Bakery after many years of service. He had a great love for masonry and landscaping. He is survived by his children Marlene Coniff of Rochester, NY, Michael Scarpone of Kittery, ME, Michele Repko and her husband Robert of Cheshire, CT and Francis Scarpone of Manchester, his grandchildren Kimberly, Matthew, Peter, Katie, Patrick, Michael, Adam, Angela, Anna, Ella, Krista and Justin, his great-grandchildren Maddie, Willa, and Charlie, and his nephews Peter, Tony and Claudio. Funeral service will be held at the John F. Tierney Funeral home 219 West Center St. Manchester on Wednesday (October 22nd) at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial in East Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association 8 Keynote Drive Vernon, CT 06066.
