Obituary of Paul J. Botticello

Paul J. Botticello, 93, born on May 29, 1921 in Harford, CT loving husband of Evelyn Botticello passed away peacefully on August 3, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, children Paul, Tom, Don, and Sue, and his nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, Tom, Joe, and Tony, and remembered fondly by his three remaining siblings, Camille, Connie, and Butch as well as countless other family and friends.

He was a Veteran of World War II and served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. After retirement, he worked passionately finding homes for retired greyhound and spent much of his time farming at Botticello Farms. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and dedicated family man and will be missed dearly.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 9th, at St. James Cemetery in Manchester. Memorial donations can be made in his memory to Retire Greyhounds as Pets (REGAP), a foundation which finds homes for greyhounds in need, at P.O. Box 3814, Woodbridge, CT 06525. The John F. Tierney Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
