Timothy Elmore

Obituary of Timothy Elmore

Timothy Elmore On July 25, 2014, following an accident, Tim left this world, his family, friends, and everyone who loved him to be with his God in heaven. His care and soul is now in God's hands. At the time of the accident he was working on an assignment in Singapore where he lived with his wife, Susan. Tim is survived by many, many family and friends, both in the United States and internationally: Tim will be missed beyond measure by his wife and soul mate, Susan (Krein) Elmore, who lost not only a loving husband, but her very best friend. Tim's parents, George and Mary (Farr) Elmore of Manchester, CT, and Westerly, RI, who will forever miss a son they loved and cared for deeply; maternal grandparents, Susan and Richard Farr of Manchester, CT; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kathleen and Douglas Krein of West Hartford, CT; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and James Cullen and niece and nephew, Brigid and Andrew, of Taunton, MA; Tim's maternal aunts, uncles and cousins: Felicia and Jamie Schaller and their sons, Eric and Alex, of Manchester, CT; Susan and Fred Hahn and their sons, Adam and Chad, of Manchester, CT. Tim's paternal, aunts, uncles and cousins: Meredith Elmore Petersons (Tim's godmother) and Ivars Petersons, of Columbia, CT, and Kira Petersons of San Francisco, CA; Cheryl and Paul Elmore of Kensington, CA, and cousins Alexis and Nathan Elmore; Kimble Elmore of Los Angeles, CA; and "aunties" Barbara Hodovan of Berkeley, CA; Shellie Elmore of Los Angeles, CA; and Liz Bosco of Storrs, CT. Many other cousins in Arizona, California, and Connecticut also mourn his passing. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Paul and Trudie Elmore and step-grandmother Millie Elmore. Tim was blessed with many friends and colleagues around the world. His best buddies Shawn Gniazdowski, Luis Misso, and Vittorio Seccareccia held a dear place in his heart. He worked especially closely with colleagues at Unilever in the United States, Singapore and Indonesia. Tim had a special bond with his dog, Maxwell, who will greatly miss his best friend. All of Tim's cares and stress left immediately when hugging Maxwell. Tim's greatest joy was spending time with his wife, family, friends, and pup. He loved all forms of exercise and adventure, spending time outdoors and at the beach, and traveling with his wife. The family gives special thanks to the medical team at National University Hospital of Singapore, Coronary Care Unit. Heartfelt thanks goes out to Dr. N. Guharajan of Unilever who not only cared for Tim but also for his family while they were in Singapore; Jacqueline Yew, who, with the Unilever team, ensured the family had all of the support they needed; and all the Unilever employees who gave of their time and expertise behind the scenes. Special thanks, that will forever be impossible to repay, to Tim's Unilever boss, mentor, and friend, Harald Gutfleisch. Harald never left the family's side during Tim's struggle and worked tirelessly to arrange their return to the United States.
