Viola M. Lipinski, 94, passed away peacefully at Salmon Brook Nursing Home in Glastonbury on Saturday, June 28, 2014. Viola was a lifelong resident of Manchester, CT where she was born to the late Hugh and Annie McIntosh. She was the widow of the late Frank J. Lipinski, with whom she was married for 43 years. Viola was an executive secretary for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for over 42 years. She was a past president of the woman's golf league of Manchester Country Club and an avid bridge player. Viola will be remembered most for devotion and enjoyment of her family and friends. She was so proud of the accomplishments of her daughter and three grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Lipinski Derasadourian, and her son-in-law Harry Derasadourian of Unionville, CT. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Ryan McCone and his wife, Shelley of Manchester, Ann Marie (Annie) Derasadourian of Unionville, and Kevin Derasadourian of Unionville, and a niece, Beth Ann Slattery, and her husband Peter, of Old Saybrook, CT. She also is survived by many other relatives and close friends. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday (July 2nd) from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Church 896 Main St. Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 9-10:30.
