Barbara E. Albasi, 88, of Bolton, beloved wife of 64 years to Louis Albasi died Monday, May 12, 2014 at Crestfield Nursing Home in Manchester. Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late George and Elaine (Hitchen) Johnson. She had worked at Cheney Mills for many years before owning and operating Albasi Greenhouses with her husband for over 40 years. Besides her husband she is survived by her beloved daughter Amy Albasi LaForge and her husband David LaForge of Manchester; her sister-in-law Olga Lorentzen; and nephews Brad Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Steven Albasi and his wife Kathy, Billy Lorentzen, and Carl Lorentzen and his wife Ruth. All family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday (May 17th) at 11:00 a.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by burial in Bolton Center Cemetery.
