Obituary of Norman J. Marquis

Norman J. Marquis, 83, of Vernon, the husband of Betty J. (Bellefleur) Marquis died Tuesday (April 8, 2014) at St. Francis Hospital. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He had retired from the Travelers after many years of service. Norman was also a friend of Bill W. for 38 years. Besides his wife he is survived by his step-daughter Dawn Litvinchyk of East Hartford; his brother Gerald Marquis of Northport, FL; his sister Mel Jaser and her husband John of Milford; his sister-in-law Janet Marquis; two sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers John and Joseph, and sisters Rhea, Jean, Gilberta, Elaine and Isabelle. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday (April 16th) at 10:00 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center Street, Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bridget Church 80 Main Street Manchester followed by burial in CT State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.
