Brian H. Gryk, 24, of South Windsor, and formerly of Manchester passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Connecticut Children's Medical Center. He was born September 6, 1989, in Manchester, the youngest son of Atty. Anthony J. Gryk, Jr. and Marijane P. Gryk. He attended Manchester and South Windsor public schools and most recently the Sunrise Day Program in Coventry CT. He brought joy to those who knew him, touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother, Shawn A. Gryk; his maternal grandmother Mary Ann Parizo of Essex VT; maternal great grandmother Zelia Parizo of Burlington Vermont; paternal grandmother Anne Gryk of South Windsor CT; Aunts Carolanne Foster, Susan-Ellen Robinson and her husband Wyley Robinson, and Evelyn Gryk Frolich and her husband Ed Rowe; cousins Adam Timrud, Nicholas Foster and his wife Patty, Rebecca Foster, Jessica Foster, Keith Robinson and his wife Sarah, Jocelyn Robinson, Rachel Robinson, Krystyna Frolich, Vincent Frolich, Tyler Parizo, Brett Parizo; dear friends the Williamson and Morin families and many other friends. He was pre-deceased by his grandfathers Anthony J. Gryk Sr. and Bernard Parizo and Uncle Paul Parizo. His family would like to extend a sincere gratefulness for all his caregivers including Yvonne, Liz, and Phiona who treated him like their own. They also want to extend a special thanks to the staff at Connecticut Children's Medical Center who gave him outstanding medical care and helped the family through many difficult times. Calling hours will be held Sunday, April 13th, at John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester from 3 to 6 p.m. On Monday, April 14th, funeral services will begin at 9:15 am at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home followed by a 10 am Mass at St. Bartholomew Church, 45 Ludlow Road, Manchester, CT.
