Arline M. Boyd of Glastonbury passed away on Saturday (March 29, 2014) at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert B. Boyd and the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Ruth) Moore. Arline was born in Manchester on August 22, 1950 and was a graduate of Manchester High School, Class of 1969. She formerly worked at Aetna, Manchester Memorial Hospital and First Financial Associates of Glastonbury. Arline loved to travel, especially to the beach, Watch Hill and the Florida Keys, going for long rides and solving Sudoku puzzles. She is survived by her sister Mary Mayne and her husband John of FL., beloved cousins Linda Accarpio and her husband Paul of Manchester, her caring sister-in-law Patricia Snyder of South Glastonbury and her sons Jeffrey Snyder, Timothy and Amy Snyder and Robert and Gail Snyder and their families; her loving niece and nephew Melissa Mayer and her children, Joseph and Kallie of Somers and Steven Mayne of Newtown. She is also survived by her devoted goddaughter Kathy Lawerence and her husband Scott and their children, her godson Zachery and Ryan and Paige of Colchester, her devoted "adopted" nephews Michael Lerch and his wife Michelle of Stafford and Thomas Lerch and his wife Claudia of Vernon and their families; her very special and loved extended family members Pam and Erv Lerch of Colchester; her amazing devoted co-workers and friends from First Financial Assoc., Avis, Rachel, Linda, Collette, Cassie, Ann, Devon and Justin and numerous cousins and friends who she cherished with all her heart. Arline's family would like to thank the CT Oncology Group of Middletown, especially Dr. Miklos Fogarasi and the staff for the caring support and love they showed for Arline and her family, the Middlesex Cancer Center and the Middlesex Hospice Homecare of Middletown especially Erin Sharp,Ruth, Jen, Kathleen and Jan. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (4/2) at 10:30 from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street, Manchester, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11:00 at the Church of the Assumption, 29 Adam Street South, Manchester. Burial will be in Hillstown Road Cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday (4/1) from 5:00-8:00.
