Obituary of Deborah A. Hills
Deborah A. Hills passed peacefully surrounded by her family March 24th 2014. She was born February 24th 1953, in Manchester, CT. Deborah Hills lineage dates back to William Hills, a passenger on the "Lyon" in 1632. William Hills settled in Hartford in 1634, then moved to East Hartford to become one of its first settlers.
Deb is survived by her 3 children; Ryan Mumley, Cori (Ottone) Gorcenski and husband Eric Gorcenski, Shannon Mumley; her 3 sisters Deana (Hills) Richard and husband Peter Richard, Dale (Hills) Paquette, and Donna (Hills) Rabbett and two loving grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
Debbie passed her creativity, caring heart, sense of humor and her love of the outdoors to all who knew her. She felt most at home in nature; she loved camping, kayaking, hikes, and swimming in lakes. Her family will receive friends and relatives for calling hours, Friday, March 28th, 2014 at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home in Manchester from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29th, at St. Bartholomew Church 45 Ludlow Road Manchester, CT 06040. Deb was a volunteer for the Hockanum River Linear Trails.
