Elizabeth Robenhymer

Obituary of Elizabeth P. Robenhymer

On a beautiful crisp clear New England morning a proud daughter of New Hampshire, Elizabeth P. Robenhymer, 95, of Manchester,CT passed quietly to Heaven. Betty, the wife of the late Adrien Philip Robenhymer, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of the late Harry Edgerton and Mabel Wheelock Pillsbury. She retired as an educator from the Town of Manchester with over 25 years of service at many levels. Betty was devoted to her family, proud of her sons and loved their children and her great grandchildren. She always brought a cheery smile and positive outlook to any visit or gathering. She will be remembered for her sharp sense of humor, generous spirit, and love of all living things. She travelled the world for interesting adventures, was an avid reader of biographies and non-fiction, and in her later years a card shark at a perpetual rummy game (no scores were kept but at the end of each game "That's nice, dear. Would you like to play again?" was the frequent request,) "Rummy with Betty " was always on the activity board. Special thanks to her many friends at White Oaks, her teaching companion, Karen Andersen, and her caregiver, Shirley Bruckner for many and frequent kindnesses. She is survived by her children A. Philip Robenhymer and wife Maureen of Manchester, Thomas D. Robenhymer and wife Anna Marie of Moorestown, NJ, and Kenneth Lee Robenhymer of Reno, NV; her grandchildren Katherine Major and husband Scott, Adrien P. Robenhymer and fiancé Hadley Trotter, Danielle O'Neill and husband Rob, Matthew Robenhymer and wife Jenna, Amanda Pfalzgraf and husband Steven, and Julie Robenhymer; and her great-grandchildren Cameron and Rachel Major, and Anna Elizabeth Robenhymer, along with two more anticipated in the coming months. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brothers Lee Pillsbury and Philip Pillsbury and his wife Evelyn of West Lebanon, NH. Family and friends may call at the John F.
