Frances Corrow, 93, of Manchester, CT, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 14th, at The Village at Buckland Court in South Windsor, CT. Born May 13, 1920, in Manchester, she was the daughter of John Crawford and Lulu Belle Dutton. As a young woman, she worked at Aetna Life Insurance Company. She married Raymond Overton in 1941 and had 4 children. In 1970, Fran and Ray moved to Morrisville, VT, where they opened and ran a gift shop. She was an active member of the congregational church in Morrisville. She volunteered for many years at Second Chance and Home Health & Hospice. After her first husband's passing, Frances remarried in 1995 to Robert Corrow of Vermont, now deceased. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She adored animals. She was predeceased by her daughter, Caren (Overton) Meyer. She is survived by her children: Janet (Overton) McLaughlin, Raymond Overton and his wife, Patricia, Barbara Overton, and her son-in-law, Curtis Meyer; her grandchildren: Elaine (McLaughlin) DeLong and her husband, Steve, Donald McLaughlin and his wife, Chalinee, Sharon Meyer, Michelle Meyer, Jonathan Overton and his wife, Kristen, and Elizabeth Overton; her great-grandchildren: Alexandra DeLong, Robert Hall, Samantha DeLong, Golf McLaughlin, Donald McLaughlin, Dennis McLaughlin, Shyanna Page, Evan Overton, and Declan Overton; her nieces and nephews, other extended family, and many friends in VT. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Masonicare, Friends for Friends, and to all her care providers at The Village at Buckland Court. A wake will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2014, at the Tierney Funeral home 219 W Center St., Manchester, CT, from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m .
