David A. Skorka, 73, of Andover, the husband of Kathleen (Dziadyk) Skorka died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Cuper) Skorka and had lived in Andover for 29 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and had retired from Southern New England Telephone after many years of service. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters and their spouses; Cheryl and Craig Mamelson, Dawn and Mark DeVoe, Tami and Terry Brophy, Meegan Horan, and Melinda and Jason Ferraro; his grandchildren Brooke and Amanda Brophy, Gabrielle Fenn, Preston, Addison, and Gavin Ferraro; his sister Janet Thayer and her husband Tom; and his niece and nephews. Funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family. The John F. Tierney Funeral Home, Manchester has care of the arrangements.
