Obituary of Ethel S. Rufini

Ethel S. (Modean) Rufini, with great sadness we share the news of our beloved mothers' passing on Monday, January 13, 2014 at her home. She was born on April 22, 1925, the daughter Hjalmar and Esther Modean. She was predeceased by our father Enrico Rufini and is survived by her four children Thomas Rufini, Barbara Botteron, Rick Rufini and his wife Doreen, Michael Rufini and his wife Amy; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed oil painting, quilting, cross stich, baking, candy making, hosting holiday parties and multiple backyard barbeques. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester, and was a former employee of Pioneer Parachute, the Manchester Bus Company and was a licensed Realtor. Ethel's family would like to offer a special thank you to Companions Forever and the women who came into her life Pam, Fran and Yessie, for all of their wonderful care and support during this difficult time. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th, at 9:15 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption 29 Adams St. South, Manchester, followed by burial in St. James Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701.
