Richard M. Hastings, 43 passed away on December 11 surrounded by the love of family and friends. He was born on June 9, 1970 in Manchester, CT, the son of Joan (Lusa) Hastings. Rich attended Manchester High School and was employed by Dillion Ford, before starting his retail career at Kohl's in Manchester and Stop & Shop in South Windsor, CT. He will be dearly missed by his family, Tom & Lori Hastings of Windsor, CT and Ken Hastings and his fiancé, Lisa Bouchard of Manchester, CT, his nephew David, and nieces Keira and Ashley Hastings. His Godmother June Lumbruno & family of Vernon, his Aunt Linda Majewski of Manchester. He will also be missed by his best friend, James Brassard of Manchester, CT; his "Chicopee, MA Family", the Brassard's; and especially Miss Sophie, his precious dog. Rich had a child-like love for all things Disney and frequently traveled to Disney World. He also loved feeding the dolphins at Sea World. His family will always remember his love for music whenever a 70's or 80's song came on the radio and his ability to tell you when it was in the Top 40. The outpouring of love, support & prayers this past year during Rich's illness will never be forgotten by his family and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday (December 17th) at 10:00 a.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester, CT 06040 followed by burial in Ellington Center Cemetery.
