Raymond Pinkin, 82, the husband of Carmela (Gaurino) Pinkin died Friday (January 27, 2012) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Manchester, he was a graduate of Manchester schools, participated in town recreation sports for many years, and was a lifelong resident. He was a US Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and had retired from Pioneer Parachute after many years of service. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Kenneth Jaworski and his wife Dale of Tolland, Michael Jaworski and his wife Jane of Coventry, Patricia Jones and her husband Brett of Tolland, Carolyn Jaworski of South Windsor and Michael R. Pinkin of Manchester, his brother Donald Pinkin and his wife June of Manchester, half-brother Robert Fiske of Manchester, his aunt Anne Mozzer and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Edward. Funeral service will be held on Monday (January 30th) 11 am at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by burial with military honors in St. James Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-8 pm.
