Obituary of Marjorie Gentilcore
It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of Marge Gentilcore on November 27, 2013, in Manchester, CT.
She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on February 2, 1924, daughter of the late Samuel and Lena Harrington. She spent her younger years in Kentucky where she met the love of her life, Dominic. Shortly after their marriage, Dominic moved Marge to Connecticut to be with his family while he served his country during World War II.
Marge worked for several years as a bridal consultant and model for Village Bridal in Vernon, CT. She loved sewing, knitting, walking, the New York Yankees and spending time with her family and friends. Her beautiful smile, her warm, infectious laugh and love for all will be dearly missed.
Marge was predeceased by husband, Dominic to whom she was married for 53 years. A loving mother, she leaves her son Jefferie Gentilcore and wife Pat, Gary Gentilcore and wife Norma and daughter, Debby Green and husband George. Marge also had eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, sister-in-law "little Margie" Kozlowski and several nieces and nephews.
Our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Manchester Manor for the love and care given our mom over the past several months. You went above and beyond.
