Louis S. Warzecha, 84, the husband of the late Elvira (Schug) Warzecha, a gentleman who was absolutely loved and cherished by everyone he met died on Thursday (February 28, 2008) at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Middletown the son of the late Joseph John and Alezandra (Wewiurska) Warzecha he had lived in Manchester for many years before moving back to Middletown. Louis was a US Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and served on the Battleship Wisconsin. He was a member of VFW Post 583, the Catholic War Veterans Post 1166, and the D.A.V. He was formerly employed as a meat cutter at Poplar Markets and Smith & Fazina. He is survived by his daughter and her husband Joan W. and Jeffery Harvey of Middletown, his sons and their spouses; Louis S. and Josephine Warzecha of Middletown, Charles E. and Joan Warzecha of Essex, Joseph J. and Tami Warzecha of Meriden, nine grandchildren; Traci Anderson, Serena Warzecha, Alissa Harvey, Michael Henderson, Kelsee Warzecha, Caryn Warzecha, Elijah Warzecha, Amy Warzecha, and Adam Warzecha and a great-granddaughter Kylie Anderson. He is also survived by his siblings Joseph Warzecha of Middletown, Everett Warzecha of New Hampshire and Jeanette Bailey of Portland and numerous nieces and nephews all of whom truly adored him. Besides his wife he was predeceased by his son Michael Warzecha and his siblings; Theodore Warzecha, Walter Warzecha, Edward Warzecha, Kazermar Warzecha, Theresa Jolz, and George Warzecha. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (March 4, 2008) at 10 am at St. James Church 896 Main St. Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery.
