Obituary of Herman Montie
Herman William Montie passed away Saturday (October 12, 2013) at Manchester Manor. Born in Manchester on June 8, 1916 to the late William and Florence (Kjellquist) Montie. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mary (McConville) and son Gerald P. Montie. He was a beloved grandfather to Kristen. Herman retired from the accounting department at Hamilton Standard in 1977 after 34 years of service. He lived most of his life in Manchester but spent several years in Vernon and Englewood, FL. Herman and Mary were members of the Manchester Square Dance Club for many years. Herman also enjoyed golf, camping, and photography. His pictures of holiday gatherings through theyears, continue to bring joy to his family. He leaves his granddaughter Kristen Kusler and her husband Michael of San Diego CA , her parents Jack and Rosemary Gardner of Portsmouth NH, along with several nieces and nephews.
