Donald R. Bassett, Sr., 69, the husband of the late Marlene (D'Alessandro) Bassett died on Tuesday (September 3, 2013) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Donald was born in Manchester the son of the late Noah and Lillian (Marchat) Bassett and had lived in Bolton for many years. He was formerly employed at Mountain Dairy. Donald is survived by three children Sherry A. Bassett, Tracy J. (Bassett) Busque and Donald R. Bassett, Jr. and his wife Dawn and seven grandchildren Amanda, David, Tyler, Ashley, Brittany, Kelly and Matthew. Other survivors include his brother Robert Bassett and several nieces and nephews. Donald was also predeceased by his brother Francis Sellers and his sister Lillian Sellers. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester on Friday (9/6) from 6:00 - 8:00. At the request of the family there will be no funeral service. Those wishing may memorial donations to a charity of the donor's choice.
