Michael A. Fink, 28, of Manchester died Saturday (August 31, 2013). Born in Hartford on January 6, 1985, he was the son of Gerald N. and Barbara (Baluk) Fink of Manchester. He was a graduate of Manchester High School and received a B.S. in Environmental Science from Johnson State College, Vermont. Mike was currently working as a Lab Technician with Phoenix Environmental Laboratories, Manchester. An avid and gifted guitar player, music was an integral part of his life. He also loved fishing, snowboarding, playing tennis and being on the water, especially in Cape Cod. Experiencing nature made him happy. Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister and best friend, Alyson Fink of Portsmouth, NH, his grandmother Sophie Baluk of Manchester, his Uncle Tony Baluk of Coventry, his Aunt Sandy and Uncle Peter Reinke of Vernon, his cousins Michelle Neblett and her husband Ron, and Kristin Reinke, and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday (September 7, 2013) at 1 pm in the English Garden Great Lawn at Wickham Park 1329 West Middle Turnpike Manchester, CT 06040. The John F. Tierney Funeral Home, Manchester has care of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, Barbara and Gerry request donations be made to the Cape Cod National Seashore.
