Arthur F. Moffitt, 82, beloved husband of 54 years to the late Jeanne D. (Boutin) Moffitt passed away Monday (June 10, 2013) at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, FL. Arthur was born August 14, 1930 in Willimantic, the son of the late Myron and Loretta Moffitt. He resided in East Hartford for most of his life and lived in Ft. Myers, FL for the past 24 years. Arthur retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as a Foreman after many years of service. He is survived by a daughter, Rose LaChapelle of East Hartford; two sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur Jr. and Mary Moffitt of Manchester and John and Serena Moffitt of Lake Mary, FL; five grandchildren, Michael Moffitt, Mathew LaChapelle, William Moffitt, Megan Moffitt and Jonathan Moffitt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday (June 17th) 1:30 pm at St. Bartholomew Church 736 Middle Turnpike, Manchester, CT. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Plainfield will be private and at the convenience of the family.
