Barbara (Calhoun) Donahue, 93, of Manchester, the wife of the late John T. "Jack" Donahue died Monday May 6, 2013 at her daughter's home in Willington. Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Peter F. and Emily (Mack) Calhoun. Barbara was a member of the Bolton Grange, Manchester Square Dance Club and the Thursday Night Outers Bowling League. She loved surf fishing in Nags Head, lake vacations in Maine, and was always an avid sports fan, especially the UConn Women's Basketball and the Boston Red Sox. She enjoyed being a volunteer in her daughter's classroom at Martin School for several years. She was also a longtime communicant of St. James Church. Barbara is survived by her daughter Leslie Letendre and her husband Bob of Willington, with whom she made her home for the past 5 years, Kerry Murphy and her husband Brian of Fairfield, her former son-in-law Stephen and his wife Cathy Yavinsky of Bolton; her grandchildren Judge Michael Yavinsky and his wife Michele of New York, Mark Yavinsky, Esq. and his wife Morgan of Georgia, Cheryl Quintanella and her husband Abe of Pennsylvania, and Elizabeth Murphy and her friend Trevor Olsen of Texas; and her great-grandchildren Ryan and Yasmine of New York, Jackson and Maxwell of Georgia, and Isabella of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her brother Raymond Calhoun and his wife Elda of Ocala, FL and their daughter Donna. She was also predeceased by her daughter Kathleen Yavinsky. Funeral service will be held on Saturday May 11th at 9:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. James Church 896 Main St. Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery.
