Sandra (Doutt) Coulombe of Manchester and Port St Lucie, FL, went home to heaven on April 14, 2013 in Port St Lucie, FL with her beloved husband Robert Coulombe by her side. She was born on Sept 16, 1936 in Tarentum, PA daughter of the late E. Melvin Doutt Jr. and Florence M Doutt. Besides her husband Robert (Bob) Coulombe, she is survived by her daughters Lisa Carter (Thomas) of Stafford, Lana Lundell (James Zadrosny) of Tolland, Patti Ann Lundell of Manchester and her stepdaughters, Michelle Bidwell (Bob) of Willington, Melanie Karpinski (Doug Johnson) of Coventry, Marlaine Martin of Willimantic, and Melissa Carone of Manchester and 14 grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her former husband Howard D. Lundell. Sandra was a long-time member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Manchester. She was a graduate of Manchester High School Class of 1954 and Miss Manchester in 1958. She studied her passion for painting and illustrating at Ringland School of Art, in Sarasota, FL. Before retiring she worked as a graphic artist for Travelers, Sterling Printery, and UTRC of E. Hartford. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi for 50 yrs, and a Board Member of MARCH, Inc. Beyond her girls and shopping, Sandy loved Elvis, owls and anything Swedish. She enjoyed time painting in her art room, card playing, craft shows, bowling, dancing, skiing, and golfing. She loved cheering for UConn Basketball. With her loving and attentive husband Bob, she enjoyed traveling to visit friends & family. They have enjoyed several ocean cruises to various ports-of-call over the yrs. Being snowbirds in Port St. Lucie, she and Bob have been enjoying the beach, dining/dancing at the Elks Club and watching the snow forecasted in NE from afar. Calling hours are Thursday April 18, from 5-7 at John F. Tierney Funeral Home at 219 W. Center St in Manchester. Celebration of Sandra's life will be at 11:00 AM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 60 Church St in Manchester. Burial will follow at East Cemetery in Manchester.
