Guy Latini, 87 of Manchester, died on April 12, 2013 from a broken heart. He lost his sweet Rose, his beloved wife of 62 years, just about two weeks ago, and it is no wonder he felt the undeniable need to join her in heaven.The team of Rose and Guy is imprinted in everyone's memory - they were always at the top of the guest lists, and happily attended countless family gatherings. Guy's way was to listen, help dutifully behind the scenes, and relish the feasts, Rose' cooking in particular. Guy was a long time employee of the US Postal service, and also other jobs in dependable support of his family. In between, they would take off together to enjoy Florida, Las Vegas, and their favorite, Hawaii.At other times they could be found tooling around in the Lincoln, often arriving in Cape Cod. Guy was also know to head north to feed his passion for the Montreal Canadiens. Always, Guy enjoyed a simple life spent with his dear family and friends. Besides Rose, he was predeceased by his sister Doris DeFrancesco and his brother Jim Latini. He is survived by two daughters and their spouses - Joanne and Keith Miller of Coventry, and Karen and Michael Tierney of Bolton; two grandsons and their wives -Brendan and Cassandra Tierney of Niantic, and Daniel and Jen Tierney of Bolton; and his dear sweet great granddaughter, Julia Rose. He also leaves behind his brother Ray Latini and wife Elaine; sisters-in-law Anne Ruggiero, and Gerry Rehla and her husband Eddie; plus many close nieces and nephews. A private family memorial service will be held at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, on 219 West Center Street in Manchester on Saturday, April 13, followed by burial at Bolton Center Cemetery.
