Obituary of Thomas R. Barlow
On December 11th, 2023, Thomas R. Barlow, beloved husband of Annette (Shroyer) Barlow, of Manchester, passed away at the age of 77.
Tom was a lifelong Manchester resident, born July 23, 1946, to Francis and Osee Barlow and he graduated from Manchester High School in 1964. Tom was a talented artist who attended one year at the New England Art Museum before joining the US Navy and learning firefighting skills. Tom married his sweetheart, Annette Shroyer, in 1972, and made their home in town.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Annette, and by his sisters Alye Barlow and Kathleen Wilby, and by his brothers David Barlow, Malcom Barlow and Daniel Barlow. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, and the many friends he made in his travels.
A memorial service will be held in April at the family’s convenience. Tom loved the many pets he had over the years. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite animal shelter.
