Obituary of Alison K. Kessler

Alison K. Kessler, 78, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 26. Alison was born May 17, 1945, in Montclair, New Jersey, daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Kinney) Kessler. She graduated from Lexington High School in Massachusetts and Vermont College of Fine Arts.

Alison had a rewarding career as Assistant to the Business Manager for Glastonbury Public Schools in Connecticut. She was a skilled seamstress, avid gardener, and bird enthusiast. Upon retirement, she volunteered and sewed for The Village Glastonbury Second Chance Shop.

Alison was a loving and proud “Grandma” who shared a special bond with her eight grandchildren. She cherished her three brothers and their families and always looked forward to their time together. We will forever carry in our hearts her love of and strong family ties to Cape Cod, where a lifetime of memories brought her much happiness.

Alison leaves behind her three beloved children; David (Kristine) Boisoneau of Pawcatuck, CT; Kristina (John) Giliberto of Glastonbury, CT; James (Marah) Boisoneau of Glastonbury, CT. Her grandchildren Julia, Jaime, and Evan Boisoneau; Sophia, Paul, and Eva Giliberto; Benjamin and Lucy Boisoneau. Brothers Robert (Swanee) Kessler, Stephen (Jean) Kessler, and Paul (Beth) Kessler along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Alison was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Dorothy Kessler of South Chatham, Massachusetts.

Thank you to the caregivers during her journey and friend Eileen, with us every step of the way.

No calling hours will be held. Private burial in South Chatham, MA, honoring her wishes to go “straight to the Cape” to rest in eternity alongside her parents. For online condolences, please visit www.tierneyfuneralhome.com.
