Dearest Carpenter Family,
I met Maude and Don in the late 90's at Emanuel. I enjoyed Book Club and many other associations with Maude for years until I moved to the midwest. I was very sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May your memories of her comfort you at this time and always.

Dear Carpenter Family,
I am sending condolences on behalf of the Connecticut Storytelling Center. Maude served on our festival committee for many years, volunteered at our festival, and told stories to us with her friend, Chris Rothe. Maude always maintained her membership to the Storytelling Center and always remembered us with donations.
During the pandemic, I helped Maude learn how to use Zoom on her ipad so she could attend some Zoom storytelling sessions. I marveled at her willingness to learn this!
Sincerely,
Ann Shapiro
