Obituary of Margery Murray
Margery "Marge" (Sheridan) Murray, 87, the wife of the late Francis R. Murray, C.P.A. died peacefully on Tuesday (April 2, 2013) at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Marge was born in Manchester, the daughter of Michael and Anna (Logan) Sheridan and had lived there for many years with her husband of 60 years before moving to South Windsor. She received her B.S. degree from the St. Joseph School of Nursing where she was a member of the first Baccalaureate class in Nursing. She had formerly worked in the Maternity Ward at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Marge had a great love for the beach especially time spent at Point O'Woods. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister she is survived by her children and their spouses: Kathleen Rizzo and David, Timothy Murray and Melissa Croghan, Rev. John P. Murray, S.J., Elizabeth Ledbetter and Richard, Joanne Sanborn and Ford ,Marcie Cavacas and John; her grandchildren Michael Rizzo and his wife Amy, Joe Rizzo and his wife Nora, Kate Munson and her husband Oliver, Anthea Croghan, Heather Garafalo and her husband Tom, Rob Kalmbach and his wife Natalie Farrey, Kyle Ledbetter, Mickey Cavacas and Alex Cavacas; her great grandchildren Connor, Owen, Luca and Calla and several dear friends. She was also predeceased by her brothers Philip and John "Jack" Sheridan. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester on Friday (4/5) from 4:00 - 8:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (April 6th) at 1 pm at St. Francis of Assisi Church 673 Ellington Road, South Windsor, CT 06074.
