Obituary of James F. Ierardi, Jr.

James Francis Ierardi, Jr. of Coventry, CT, beloved husband of Nancy (Lauria) Ierardi, died peacefully on Friday, November 10th, 2023, one day before his 78th birthday. Born in Southington, CT, he was the son of the late James Francis Ierardi, Sr. and Norma (Celella) Ierardi Shinaly, and big brother to the late Doreen (Dube) Moran. Jim graduated Plainville High School in 1964 and subsequently obtained an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from the University of New Haven. A lifelong salesperson, Jim loved the excitement of sales; he also loved cardinals, and went on to establish Cardinal Foods, a food brokerage company.

Jim loved family and he had a big one. In addition to his wife, Nancy, Jim is survived by his twin sister, Deidra Ierardi; his younger brother, Mark Ierardi and wife Lynn; his son James Francis Ierardi, III and wife Armi; his son Kevin Ierardi and wife Mya; and his former wife Beth (Gilbert) Ierardi; his stepdaughter Sandra Ferrie; stepson Michael Lauria, Jr.; grandsons James F. Ierardi, IV and Michael Ferrie; granddaughters Skylar Ierardi, Michaela Lauria and Brianna Kuntz; great-grandsons Matteo Lauria and Nico Kuntz; great-granddaughters Sophia and Gianna Ferrie and Ava Lauria; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
