Holly Sander

Obituary of Holly Sander

Holly Harrison Sander, 64, of South Windsor, passed away at Hartford Hospital on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Born and raised in Manchester, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Mabel (Burras) Harrison.

Holly graduated from Manchester High School in 1977. She worked in banking before her daughter Lisa was born, and most recently worked in healthcare. Holly loved to travel with her girlfriends, visiting wonderful and warm places. Her annual trip to Maine with Lisa was a much-anticipated and cherished tradition. Evident to all who knew her, Holly’s undeniable joy in life was her daughter. She was exceedingly proud of Lisa’s accomplishments and especially delighted to celebrate Lisa and Jason’s wedding on a mountainside in Vermont. Holly filled her life with family and friends, and we will all miss her positive, happy nature, always ready for the next adventure.

Holly is survived by her daughter Lisa Sander and her husband Jason Scholz-Karabakakis, sister Linda Harrison, nephew Mark Lamoureux and family, as well as a lifelong friend and ‘sister,’ Valerie Klein.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W.
