Obituary of Laurette Carpenter

Laurette ("Toots") G. Carpenter (Gaudette) passed peacefully at home on November 4, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She fought hard for almost 2 years, but the cancer was relentless. She was born to Joseph and Doria Gaudette in Hartford, CT, on November 11, 1937. After graduating from Hartford High School in 1955, she found her soul mate William R. Carpenter Sr. (2005).

Coming from a big family, she cherished any and all family time and gatherings. She loved getting out to eat and for fun bowling, dancing and general mayhem.

She leaves behind her last remaining sibling Gloria Mecteau (96 of Hebron) and 2 sons Bruce Carpenter of Manchester, CT, and William Carpenter Jr and his wife Mary, grandchildren Kelly and Nick Delisle, great-grandchildren Christopher, Aaron and Jennika Hagman of Derry, NH. She was predeceased by her husband Bill Carpenter Sr. and youngest son Brian G. Carpenter, both of Manchester, CT, as well as her sisters Jeanine, Yvette, Dodi and 3 brothers Roger, Morris and Norman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 11th, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main Street in Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude.
