Frances "Chickie" E. (Violette) Tournaud, 85, of Manchester, passed peacefully away on March 20, 2013 at the Crestfield Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alexis J. Tournaud, Sr. to whom she was married for 36 years. She is survived by her three children; Marie Tournaud of St. Johnsbury, VT and her daughter Melissa Wine; Alexis J. Tournaud, Jr. and his wife, Terry of Ellington, CT and their two children Alyssa and Anthony; and Renee Frost and her husband, David along with their son Matthew, with whom she made her home for 21 years. She also leaves three great-grandchildren. Frances was born on March 21, 1927 in Hartford, CT and resided in Manchester, CT for most of her life. She is a graduate of Manchester High School, Class of 1945. She was employed at Travelers in Hartford, St. James Church Rectory in Manchester and worked part time at House & Hale of Manchester. She also was self-employed as a seamstress and worked out of her home for many years. Frances was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. In Frances' younger years she was a talented ballet dancer. She also enjoyed music, gardening, reading and knitting. There are no visitation hours and services and internment will be private. The John F.
