John Henry Sheetz, 75, the husband of Rita E. (Wilson) Sheetz died on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. John was born in Burnham, PA the son of Samuel and Anna (Krist) Sheetz and had lived in Bolton for many years. He served in the US Air Force. John retired from ATT in 1989 ending his career as a Supervisor Forman for the New England, New York and New Jersey area. After retirement he began a second career as a plumber. An active member of St. Maurice Church he was a Eucharistic Minister and an Usher. John was also an avid golfer and was a member of the Tallwood Men's Club. Besides his wife Rita, he is survived by his children Lori M. Walker of Reading, John W. Sheetz and his wife Christine of Cumberland, ME., William J. Sheetz and his wife Teresa of Prospect and Elizabeth A. Sledjeski and her husband Lee of John's Creek, GA; thirteen grandchildren; his sister Bonnie Peters and her husband Walter of Burnham, PA and his brother Richard Sweetz and his wife Joan of Milroy, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday (3/16) at 10:00 at St. Maurice Church 32 Hebron Rd. Bolton. Those wishing to attend are asked to go directly to church. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00.
