Obituary of Mary Ann Flood DiGiacomo

Mary Ann Flood DiGiacomo, 67, of Tolland, passed away at Hartford Hospital on Friday, June 30, 2023. Daughter of the late Joseph and Nancy Flood, she was born on March 10, 1956, in the Bronx, NY.

Mary Ann was a very loving, warm, and giving person. When her son Travis was young, the family was very involved in hockey and Mary Ann even opened her home to out-of-state hockey players. She would cook dinners and provide support for everyone that shared her home.  Mary was very passionate about helping these kids shape their lives, get into college, and aid overall in setting them up for success in life. Mary Ann's grace extended further than just to her hockey players, but to those in AA. Mary Ann was a sponsor of over 10 mentees. Mary Ann truly dedicated her life to helping others succeed and grow. In her spare time, Mary Ann loved to travel, explore, and adventure with Travis and her loving husband, Michael, of 35+ years. Mary Ann also loved her dogs, as they were her other children.

Mary Ann is survived by her son, Travis and his partner Ashley; her sisters, Jeanne Taccariello and Joanne Schwind; and nieces and nephews, Christopher Taccariello, Caitlin and Michael Schwind, Paul Analoro, and Eric, Matt, and Courtney DiGiacomo. She was predeceased by her parents, as well as her husband Michael in 2020. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 17th, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Church, 25 Saint Bernards Terrace, Rockville.
