When we lived on Tatem Ave in Westmont we always enjoyed the company of Larry and Joan at the Whalens and other places. Larry was a true gentleman, kind and thoughtful. We send our sincere condolences to his family and will remember him in our prayers. Requiescat in pace.

Larry and Joan Couch were more like family to us and our family. Heaven for sure has two new bright and loving stars above and as I think of them it's with the warmth one gets when a truly great couple was part of your life. To say they will be missed is a given but how blessed are we to have been able to share our lives with one another. Much love to his children and grandchildren. G-d Bless the Couch family one and all...

While I haven't seen Larry since I retired from CIGNA I can still picture him as a young man some fifteen years ago. Larry and I worked together for many years and in particular when we both and many others, were involved with bringing up the "EIS" system. He played a key roll in that successful installation. I'm sad to know that he is no longer with us but happy that Larry and his wife, Joan, are together again...forever.

We were so sorry to hear that both Larry and Joan are gone. Larry was the best boss I (Chris) ever had and a great person. Working with Larry at CIGNA and knowing him was a pleasure. They made the world a better place and will be very much missed.

I will miss Larry very much. His e-mails were a daily read for me. I worked many years with Larry, first as a co-worker then he became my Boss and unlike some other Bosses I'v had I could not think of a bad thing to say about him. Larry was a very gracious host for many a Pinochle party at his home in Westmont. We always played Partners, his partner was always Russ Weeks, mine was always John Contarino. John was a very daring bidder so neither Larry or Russ wanted him as a partner - we had many great nights. Cards were also a big part of lunch times at CIGNA. Larrys wife Joan would always patiently put up with the get togethers at their house. They were a very remarkable couple. I will miss not having both around.

Larry was a great manager with a terrific sense of humor. Also utmost kindness and understanding when I messed up the most. Larry is not the type of guy you can forget. I will keep Larry's family in my prayers. May 2012 bring you peace as 2011 was a rough year for you with the death of both your parents.

Larry was a kind and patient man, who was a great mentor to me while we both worked at Cigna. He taught me a great deal about the accounting systems and how to really read the information being presented to me. I admired him greatly. My condolences to his son Micheal, his daughter Donna and his grandchildren.
