Obituary of Joanne V. Bagley

Joanne “JoJo” Victoria Bagley, 79, lifelong resident of Coventry, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at Manchester Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center on May 23, 2023.

Joanne was born in Lewiston, Maine, on October 17, 1943. Joanne is the daughter of the late John and Stasia (Plossay) Wierzchowski. She was preceded in death by her brothers Robert Wierzchowski and Ronald Wierzchowski.

Joanne was also preceded in death by her late husband Lawrence Bagley, Sr. who loved her beyond words. They shared an amazing life together in Coventry, Connecticut, where they built a lifetime of memories.

Joanne loved to help everyone. She spent her life caring for others as a home health aide for over 30 years with Visiting Nurse & Health Services of Connecticut. Joanne loved to cook, garden, go on trips to Cape Cod, spend time with family and her cat Tobey.

Joanne is survived by her niece Kim Wierzchowski and husband Clayton Gordon and their children Dillon and Zoey from Hebron, her nephew Matthew Wierzchowski from Killingly and his sons JR and Everett, and her late husband’s sons Lawrence Bagley, Jr. and Michael Bagley.

Joanne will truly be missed by the lives she touched while she was here. She will live on in our memories and in our hearts. As we move on in our lives, we must remember Joanne by doing our best to help others and make a difference every moment we can.

The family also wishes to thank her beautiful friend Nancy LaChappelle for helping Joanne live in her home for as long as she could. You are truly an angel.
